Goodwin Aged Care Services is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Catering Operations Manager to lead our catering teams and elevate the dining experience across our aged care communities. This senior role requires a strong people leader who can inspire teams, drive innovation, and champion high standards in food quality and service.

Key Responsibilities
Provide strong, people-centred leadership to chefs and catering staff across multiple sites.
Build a positive team culture that prioritises quality, resident experience, and continuous learning.
Coach, develop, and mentor staff to deliver exceptional dining services.
Lead innovation in menu design, service models, and dining experiences to enhance resident wellbeing.
Oversee catering operations, ensuring compliance with HACCP, food safety regulations, and Aged Care Quality Standards.
Manage budgets, procurement, and inventory effectively and efficiently.
Partner with clinical teams to meet the nutritional needs and preferences of residents.
Respond to and resolve escalated concerns professionally and constructively.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to elevate both operational performance and service quality.
What We Are Looking For
Required Skills, Qualifications & Experience
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.
Food Safety Supervisor certification.
Responsible Service of Alcohol certification.
Current C Class Driver’s Licence.
Significant experience as a Head Chef or Catering Manager in large-scale food operations.
Strong leadership and people management capabilities, with a track record of building high-performing teams.
Proven ability to lead change, inspire innovation, and uplift service standards.
Deep knowledge of commercial food operations and HACCP requirements.
Understanding of nutritional needs of older people.
Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a calm and supportive leadership presence.
Desirable
Experience in aged care, hospitality, high-volume food production, or premium service environments.
