Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Exercise Physiologist to join our Allied Health team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors by supporting their independence, wellbeing and quality of life.

This is a 6 month fixed term contract.

About the role

Working as part of a supportive Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT), you will independently deliver clinical assessments, individual and group exercise programs, and rehabilitation interventions for residents and clients across Goodwin’s Residential Care facilities, Home Care services, and Wellness Centres.

In this role, you will:

  • Conduct clinical needs-based assessments and develop personalised exercise and rehabilitation programs.
  • Deliver one-on-one and group exercise sessions focused on mobility, strength, balance, independence and wellbeing.
  • Monitor outcomes, maintain accurate documentation and contribute to audits and reporting.
  • Work collaboratively with residents/clients, families, and the broader care team as part of a client-centred, partnership-based approach.
  • Ensure services align with legislative and organisational standards, meeting weekly activity targets.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and uphold Goodwin’s reputation for high-quality care.

Mandatory

  • Bachelor of Exercise Physiology (or equivalent).
  • Current full ESSA registration.
  • A current Australian driver’s licence.

Essential skills

  • Experience working with older adults.
  • Strong capability in assessment, exercise prescription, behaviour change and program monitoring.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Confidence in written and verbal communication, along with solid computer literacy.

Desirable

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to prepare accurate documentation and communicate effectively with health professionals.
  • A positive contributor to team culture and service development.
