Job Description

We are seeking a creative, energetic and community-focused Lifestyle Coordinator to join our Retirement Living team.

In this rewarding role, you will design and deliver meaningful activities and programs that enrich the lives of residents living in our retirement villages. You will play a key part in fostering wellbeing, social connection, choice, and a strong sense of community.

Desired Skills and Experience

Enhance Resident Wellbeing

  • Build trusted and respectful relationships with residents.

  • Engage with residents to understand their interests, preferences, and activity needs.

  • Plan and deliver programs that promote social engagement, mental stimulation, and physical wellbeing.

  • Ensure residents have access to information and resources that align with their interests.

  • Assist with planning and coordinating events, celebrations and group outings, including serving alcohol where required.

  • Support resident groups such as Social Committees and Residents Committees in organising their activities.

  • Build partnerships with community organisations and service providers to enhance programs.

  • Communicate any concerns regarding resident wellbeing to the Village Manager or Resident Services Coordinator.

Administration & Coordination

  • Evaluate programs based on resident feedback, safety and cost considerations.

  • Maintain accurate attendance records and manage payments for activities.

  • Coordinate room bookings, event logistics and required documentation.

  • Support general reception and administrative tasks when needed.

Organisational Contribution

  • Ensure equipment and resources for activities are available, safe and well maintained.

  • Work collaboratively in a small team environment with a strong customer service focus.

  • Uphold Goodwin’s reputation as a quality organisation.

  • Identify risks and support WHS obligations.

  • Maintain a professional, respectful and culturally aware approach in all interactions.

Qualifications

Required (or willingness to obtain)

  • First Aid Certificate

  • Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate

  • Light Rigid (LR) vehicle licence

Preferred

  • Certificate IV in Leisure & Lifestyle, Leisure & Health or a related qualification
