Are you passionate about delivering high-quality food services and making a meaningful difference in the lives of older people? We’re looking for a dedicated Chef to join our dynamic team and help us provide exceptional dining experiences every day.
About the Role
In this hands-on role, you’ll prepare and cook a variety of menu items, support special catering events, and ensure the highest standards of food quality and safety. You'll work closely with Head Chef and step into the Head Chef role when required, providing leadership, training, and guidance to the catering team.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook standard menu items and provide catering for special events
Contribute to continuous improvement of food service quality
Complete and support daily shift tasks
Build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Supervise, support, and train catering employees
Act as Head Chef during periods of leave
Provide assistance to the lifestyle centre café as needed
Ensure all dietary requirements are met for consumers
Maintain stock control and efficient kitchen operations
Ensure the kitchen and dining areas meet required hygiene and cleaning standards
Support HACCP compliance and accreditation requirements
Complete documentation accurately and daily
Maintain Goodwin’s reputation for excellence
Deliver high-level customer service and professionalism
Assist the Head Chef with team performance management
Comply with WHS, organisational policies, legislation, and quality systems
Desired Skills and Experience
Requirements
Certificate III in Catering or Commercial Cookery
Food Safety Supervisor certification
Essential Skills
Understanding of the health and nutritional needs of older people
Ability to work independently with limited supervision
Strong knowledge of HACCP and Work Health & Safety requirements
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Desirable Skills
Qualifications and/or experience in Work Health & Safety
Knowledge of Aged Care Accreditation Standards
