About the Role
As an Enrolled Nurse, you will play a key role in delivering person-centred care and supporting the clinical team to achieve the best possible outcomes for residents. You will provide clinical leadership to Care Workers, administer medications within your scope of practice, and contribute to maintaining a safe, caring, and high-quality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality direct care to residents.
- Administer medications and undertake clinical procedures within scope of practice.
- Support and provide guidance to Care Workers in the delivery of resident care.
- Conduct employee skill assessments and provide coaching and training.
- Monitor and document resident observations and clinical information.
- Maintain effective communication with residents, families, medical practitioners, and allied health professionals.
- Manage medication ordering and undertake medication and pharmaceutical audits.
- Promote continuous improvement and best practice in resident care.
Essential Requirements
- Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse with Medication Endorsement.
- Strong clinical and case management knowledge.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Understanding of the health, wellbeing, and care needs of older people.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Desirable
- Experience in residential aged care.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills.
