Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Home Care Team Leader to provide hands-on leadership, mentoring, and support to our community-based carer workforce in Batemans Bay.
This field-based role ensures carers are well supported, confident in their practice, and delivering consistent, high-quality care services to clients in their homes. You will act as a key link between carers and management, helping strengthen team capability, performance, and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day leadership, guidance, and support to Home Care carers in the region
Mentor and coach staff to deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred care
Support onboarding and “buddy” training for new carers
Identify skill gaps and support learning and development opportunities
Assist with performance conversations and low-level performance management
Support recruitment activities and workforce planning as required
Monitor incidents, hazards, and infection prevention practices in line with policy
Ensure accurate and timely care documentation and reporting
Support return-to-work and workers compensation processes in collaboration with management
Step in to assist with care delivery during operational needs or staff absence
Promote a positive, engaged, and respectful team culture across the region
Ensure medication assistance practices comply with legislation and organisational policy
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
You are a confident, approachable leader with a strong background in aged care or home care services. You enjoy supporting others, building capability in teams, and ensuring clients receive consistent, high-quality care.
Essential Requirements
Current Driver’s Licence
Reliable motor vehicle with comprehensive insurance (for work use)
Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care/Home & Community) or higher
Experience delivering care to older people in community or residential settings
Experience supervising, mentoring, or supporting a care team
Strong communication, organisation, and documentation skills
Ability to work independently across a community-based role
Highly Desirable
Medication Skill Set
Certificate in Frontline Management
