Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Lead the daily operations of the facility kitchen and meal services
Ensure all meals meet nutritional, dietary, allergen, and texture requirements
Maintain high standards in food quality, presentation, and service delivery
Oversee menu planning, food ordering, and stock control
Ensure compliance with food safety standards, HACCP, and WHS requirements
Train, mentor, and develop kitchen staff, fostering a high-performing team culture
Monitor resident satisfaction and implement continuous improvements
Collaborate with management to optimise productivity and service delivery
Desired Skills and Experience
Essential Requirements
Certificate IV in Catering or Commercial Cookery
Food Safety Supervisor certification
Strong knowledge of HACCP and food safety compliance
Proven leadership and team management experience
Key Skills & Attributes
Excellent cooking and menu planning skills
Understanding of the nutritional needs of older people
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to lead, train, and motivate a team
Calm under pressure with strong problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Desirable
Experience in aged care or similar environments
Experience managing small kitchen teams
